The short version
- Your Screen Time data stays on your iPhone. We can't see which apps you use.
- We never sell your data and we don't show ads.
- Quest photos are only used for your quests, and you can delete them anytime.
- You can delete your account and all your data from inside the app.
Lemo helps you spend less time scrolling. To do that well, we collect as little as we can and we're upfront about the rest. This policy explains what we collect on lemoapp.site and in the Lemo iPhone app, why, and the choices you have.
Who we are
“Lemo”, “we” and “us” refer to the team behind the Lemo app and lemoapp.site. For anything about this policy or your data, contact us at info@lemoapp.site.
What we collect
On the website
- Waitlist email. If you join the waitlist, we collect your email address so we can tell you when Lemo launches.
- Language preference. Your EN/TR choice is saved in your browser's local storage. It never leaves your device.
- Technical data. Our hosting provider automatically processes basic technical data such as your IP address, browser type and request time to deliver the site and protect it from abuse.
The website doesn't use advertising cookies or cross-site tracking.
In the app
- Account. When you create an account (for example with Sign in with Apple or email), we store your account identifier and email. If you use Apple's “Hide My Email”, we only receive a relay address.
- Screen Time. Lemo uses Apple's Screen Time framework to lock the apps you choose. Apple keeps this information on your device and only gives Lemo anonymous tokens, so we can't see which apps you picked, how long you use them or what you do in them. This data is not sent to us.
- Quest photos. Some quests ask for a photo (for example, your freshly made bed). The photo is used to confirm the quest and is stored with your account so you can see your quest history. We may use automated checks to verify that a photo matches the quest.
- Progress. Your coins, quests, streaks, Lemo's mood and settings, so the app works across sessions and devices.
- Purchases. In-app purchases are handled by Apple. We receive a confirmation of what you bought, never your payment card details.
- Usage and crash data. Pseudonymous usage events (like “quest completed”), device model, OS version and crash reports that help us fix bugs and improve Lemo.
How we use it
- To run Lemo: lock and unlock apps, track quests and coins, and sync your progress.
- To confirm quests and prevent cheating.
- To process purchases and restore them on your devices.
- To send the launch email to the waitlist and, if you have an account, important service messages.
- To keep Lemo secure, fix bugs and understand which features help people most.
We don't sell your data, we don't use it for advertising and we don't build advertising profiles.
Legal bases
Where laws like the EU/UK GDPR or Türkiye's Personal Data Protection Law (KVKK) apply, we rely on:
- Contract: to provide the app and features you ask for.
- Consent: for the waitlist email and quest photos. You can withdraw consent at any time.
- Legitimate interests: to keep Lemo secure and improve it, in ways you'd reasonably expect.
- Legal obligations: when the law requires us to keep or share information.
International transfers
Our providers may process data in countries other than yours, including the United States and the EU. When we transfer personal data abroad, we use the safeguards required by law, such as standard contractual clauses, and for data from Türkiye the mechanisms set out in KVKK.
How long we keep it
- Waitlist emails: until shortly after launch, or until you unsubscribe.
- Account, progress and quest photos: as long as you have an account. You can delete single photos anytime; everything is deleted when you delete your account.
- Usage and crash data: up to 24 months, usually in aggregated form.
- Purchase records: as long as tax and accounting laws require.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you can ask to access, correct, delete or export your data, object to or restrict how we use it, and withdraw consent. Under KVKK (Article 11) you can also learn whether your data is processed, why, and who it's shared with.
- Delete your account and data anytime in the app under Settings → Delete account.
- Unsubscribe from emails with the link in every email.
- For any other request, email info@lemoapp.site. We'll reply within 30 days.
You can also complain to your local data protection authority (in Türkiye, the Personal Data Protection Authority, KVKK).
Children
Lemo is not meant for children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their data. If you're between 13 and 18, please use Lemo with a parent or guardian's permission. If you believe a child under 13 has given us data, contact info@lemoapp.site and we'll delete it.
Security
We use encryption in transit, access controls and trusted providers to protect your data. No system is perfectly secure, but if something goes wrong we'll act quickly and notify you and the authorities when the law requires it.
Changes to this policy
We'll update this page when Lemo changes, and change the date at the top. If a change is significant, we'll tell you in the app or by email before it takes effect.
